"Piri Piri," Swahili for "pepper pepper" or "spicy spicy," originates from the hot and arid climates of southern Africa. Indigenous to countries such as Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, and South Africa, the Piri Piri pepper plant has thrived in these regions for generations. Local populations embraced this fiery chili pepper for its ability to add a burst of heat and flavor to their traditional dishes, making it a cornerstone of African cuisine.
